Music In A Children’s Jewelry Box

Most little children mimic either of their parents as they grow up. Little boys want to be the man of the house, while most little girls want to play with their mother’s make up and jewelry.

They see mommy has boxes displayed on her dresser and they are curious to watch mommy dress up daily to go to work or on an outing.

In these secret boxes are not secrets, but either cosmetics or jewelry.

This is where the need begins for them to have their own children’s cosmetic box or childrens jewelry box. This would no doubt be the little girls jewelry box.
  
There she would put all her little dress rings, earrings, bracelets and necklaces in, where they would be kept safe, just like mommy’s, there in her own little childrens jewelry box.

  
Sentiments In A Box

Having a childrens jewelry box does not mean that there has to be jewelry in it only. Little boys also have their own little so-called jewelry box.

This childrens jewelry box of his could be decorated with more male items, and could be filled with weird and wonderful things the little boy has found. It could be tiny little toys of sorts or could even contain some sand, which used to be a mud pie that he thought he would try and preserve in his childrens jewelry box.
  
The little boys jewelry box could have a miniature little pocket knife it in, so he could use it to try and carve little things with, there would probably be a little miniature car that caught his eye somewhere that he picked up and stored there for safekeeping.

It would be hardly the case that the little boy would stash some photos in there as he would not be as sentimental yet as a little girl is.
  
In the little childrens jewelry box for girls there would definitely be a figurine of a ballerina in it, and when you open it, would play a tune; usually one that is supposed to bring back sentimental thoughts when you are older.

It would stimulate your memories on how you used to dress up like mommy and doing her makeup and putting on her jewelry, with all her sentiments in a box.  

These are the childrens jewelry boxes that get stashed away, in the back corner of the wardrobe, this is more like the memories box. And years later when she is married, she finds it, opens it up slowly and the ballerina still pops up and plays the tune.
